My wedding Start

After dating for a couple of years together and finally deciding that this is the heart throbe of my life which is going to make me happy and be my partner in whom I am able to find the love of my life. It was not that easy or there after. It all came down to planning for the wedding.

Planning a wedding is the biggest investment of one’s life. You have your heart and mindset for that. Our passion in our planet so that our kids and grand kids can also enjoy the Mother Nature. To create a unique, joyous and gorgeous event with the least impact to our environment was our vision to all shades of green….Ya you got if corrects a perfect green wedding.

Step 2 For Green wedding

Working down the nitty gritties from a organizational chart, putting all the dates and dreams together, finding the perfect environmental green hotel / resort for guest and even hybrid/horse carriage transportation for guest on the list alongwith. Even the farewell on a special eco-friendly bicycle for two, was just like dreaming among the stars of the heavenly skies and riding the wave of love.

After promising to the love of my life regarding having a green wedding party. The wedding planner was the first one on the list and we made sure that we both were on the same page of the organic wedding planner booklet. The sheets were made from organic- recycled paper. We made a commitment to ourselves that where ever we go for our planning, we will at least walk a mile to be together. This gave us a double pleasure as we were getting in shape for the d-day. Sharing experiences to bring our love together we joined dancing classes for two days in the week and cooking classes for a day in the week. The rustic weekend gateway was spent chit chatting about our guest list

A tough time with green wedding

Eco-friendly gifts became our passion as we complimented each other with some vintage jewellery and also made sure to look behind the shine. Making romanticized, environmental friendly soul mate commitment, we choose the diamond and gold rings which came from the mines where human rights were not negotiated and contribution was made towards the environment by paying back to the nature by planning trees.

We made a self resolution to plant a tree on our engagement party. It was not a big fanfare but the all-green resort in the backdrop of a mountain range was a perfect place to be where the only transportation used by our entire guest was horse-carriage. Our catering guy hired trucks for supplies which are running on bio fuel.

The guests were greeted with a fine gesture and served with grape vines aid coconut drinks in coconut bowls. Fruits and organic milk dark chocolates were served as starters. Everybody was talking about the announcement  of engagement on tree free paper and written personally with non-toxic ink and elegantly wrapped in a raw-silk carrier bag and also a humble no gift request or to give a charitable donation to a green cause. The centerpiece was well decorated from bulbs which are organically grown to our own backyard and some flowers came from our local organic flower guy with an exotic arrangement of silk and soy candles.

A few more things to plan for in a wedding

The guest were served only vegan and the announcement came from the lips of both parents. I was really impressed when the restrooms were having organic soaps and recycled paper towels. The tree planting was really symbolic during the ceremony where the ring was as I had mentioned earlier form a mine which was paying back to the nature. Food quality was really remarkable as it was all organic. The leftover was not thrown away as instructed and was denoted to a nearby charity. The deserts and coffee was also organic at the coffee station and after all the dancing we announced our summer end wedding day.

We created an everlasting memory by giving small trees and seeds to our guests. The roots of these trees and shrubs is seen as giving back to the mother nature and we hope that when these guests arrive back for our wedding day, they all will have simile on their faces and remember our humble note of eco-friendliness.

With all going smooth for the engagement party, much work was ahead for both of us to arrange for our wedding day. A special note from friends….. this was really remarkable, we shall be their for the wedding bells, and not to forget the special thank you note to all the guest who took pride in our endeavour to have a simple and unique eco-friendly engagement party as a first step towards our wedding planning.

that was a wonderful idea for a wedding, and it was surely very memorable for your guest having a different and eco way of celebrating your wedding.
